Winter steelhead starting to show!
Thursday, 06 December 2007

The fishing has been real slow the past couple weeks, with guides having to work extra hard for a couple bites a day. It sounds like the kings have moved on up through the Smith and with the latest storms, the winter steelhead are starting to show. It rained pretty hard here most of the day but the forecast is for the rain to taper off through the weekend. Both the Smith and the Chetco should be in good shape. The Mad, Eel, and Klamath are probably blown out and won't fish until late next week at the earliest. Call me if you want to book a trip for the upcoming winter steelhead runs on the Smith, Chetco, and coastal rivers.

Fish On!
