The past couple weeks I've been fishing the rivers around Humboldt County. They continue to produce some fresh steelhead, but more and more downrunners are starting to show. These are typically hard fighting fish as they've spawned and are now agressively looking to eat. The action can be fast and furious when you find a school of them. The South Fork of the Eel continues to clear and the lower end is now fishable. There is a chance of rain on Saturday night and if that doesn't amount to much, the main stem may be fishable by the weekend. I have several open days in March, call me and let's go fishing. Fish On!
