Smith River - January 15th
Tuesday, 15 January 2008
Since my last report, we've had quite a few unfishable days. The Smith is now in great shape and should start to give up some big numbers as we're in for a good week of weather. Today the water looked ideal, a nice emerald green color with about 3 ft. of visibility. I thought we had some really good drifts for most of the day, but for whatever reason, they just wouldn't take our bait. It was one of those days. Although overall scores weren't that high, some guides reported up to 3 fish landed, but the average for most boats was 0 to 1 fish.

The Southern rivers should all be fishable by this weekend, so nows the time to book your trip before the next rain.

Fish On!
