Well after a week on the southern rivers, the rain has returned and put an end to some fantastic steelhead action. The rivers are all blown out and won't be fishable for some time. I headed up north to fish the Smith this past weekend and the results were far from spectacular. There just isn't a lot of fish in the river, period. Most of the boats were getting 0 to 1 fish.
Rain is in the forecast for most of the week, which will hopefully bring some fresh fish into both the Smith and Chetco.
I have several openings in the coming weeks if you're looking to get into what should be prime time for Steelhead, so give me a call.

Fish On!
