Well the rain has finally tapered off here on the Northcoast and while the Humboldt rivers are all blown out, the Smith should be driftable by Friday. It peaked at 23 ft. on the lower gauge today and is dropping back into shape quickly. The forecast calls for dry weather on Friday, but chances of showers on Saturday and Sunday, so the Smith should be primed for the weekend. It's been giving up some real nice steelhead for this early in the season, and it's only going to get better. I heard reports of a few 20 pounders landed this past week. I still have some open dates in January, so call me and let's go fishing. FISH ON! Patrick- |
